What to bring & wear:

  1. A yoga mat

  2. Yoga is typically practiced in comfy clothes, but whatever your child wants to wear is fine with us!

When you arrive:

  1. Class will start on time, so plan on arriving about 10 minutes early to check-in, use the restroom, and get settled. For safety, the studio door is locked once class starts.

  2. Check-in with your SKY instructor or someone from the studio at the front desk.

  3. Cubbies are available for coats and shoes (no shoes in the studio, socks are ok, but bare feet are typically best as the floor can be slippery with socks).

  4. Leave snacks / food, toys, non-yoga items, etc. at home or in a cubby outside the practice space.

  5. This is a kids-only class. Adults are welcome to wait in the studio lobby area or leave the studio and return at the end of class.

Class and Studio Expectations:
Our partner studios are primarily adult yoga studios that graciously allow Seattle Kids Yoga to use their lovely spaces. To ensure safety and respect for all, we created this list of expectations to keep everyone (SKY, studio, parents/caregivers, and kids alike) on the same page.

  1. Parents and caregivers are in charge of their child’s behavior before and after class. If your child is having difficulty following the safety rules and these expectations, we ask that you intervene.

  2. Running, yelling, throwing items, and touching others is not appropriate or safe in the studio lobby or yoga space.

  3. When the class ends, please support your child in leaving the studio within 15 minutes. We love post-class socializing, but ask that the fun continues outside of the studio.
